Cafe Dwarka SYD – A Rooftop Hideaway Where Food Meets Vibe

By: Shagun Pathak

Tucked away in Sector 12 of Dwarka, amidst the buzz of local markets and metro lines, there’s a cafe that doesn’t just serve food it serves an experience. Cafe Dwarka SYD, perched on the 3rd floor of Manish Metro Plaza, is one of those rare spots in Delhi where everything feels just right from the flavors on your plate to the mood in the air.

On a breezy weekend evening, I visited this cafe with my siblings, and what started as a casual outing quickly turned into a memorable dining experience. Here's a deep dive into what makes this place worth visiting.

First Glance – Walking Into a Vibe

As we climbed up to the rooftop, we were greeted by the gentle hum of laughter, soft music, and the glow of string lights swaying in the breeze. The rooftop seating area is spacious, yet cozy, with enough greenery and ambient lighting to make it feel like a little retreat above the city.

What immediately stood out was the creative use of space. Tables were set thoughtfully close enough to feel lively, but far enough for comfortable conversation. And then there was the indoor section, a completely different vibe altogether. Dim lights, cushy chairs, and an absolutely stunning wall mural of a blue-toned woman surrounded by dreamy textures it felt like walking into a stylish art lounge.

Honestly, the place deserves a mention purely for its interiors. It's one of those rare cafes where you don't have to hunt for the "Insta spot" every corner is photogenic.

Now, Let’s Talk Food – A Delicious Affair

Good decor can set the tone, but it’s the food that keeps people coming back. Thankfully, Cafe Dwarka SYD lives up to the promise.

We ordered a good variety, making sure to explore different sections of the menu and each dish had its moment.

Roasted Chicken Pizza

Let’s start with the star of the evening the roasted chicken pizza. A classic thin-crust base, loaded with juicy, tender chicken, bell peppers, onions, and a well-balanced tomato sauce. The cheese wasn’t too heavy or greasy, which allowed the toppings to really shine. What made it even better was the crisp crust done just right. It was the kind of pizza that disappears quickly, slice by slice, while everyone fights for the last piece.

Chilli Manchurian

We couldn’t resist trying something from the Indo-Chinese side, and the chilli Manchurian hit all the right notes. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and tossed in a spicy, slightly sweet sauce that clings just right. It had a real kick to it, but nothing overwhelming. This one’s perfect if you love bold, street-style flavors with a café twist.

Refreshing Sips – Mocktails and Shakes That Steal the Show

The drinks menu here is honestly where things get fun. From fizzy mojitos to indulgent shakes, there’s something for every mood.

Watermelon Mojito

Cool, light, and instantly refreshing. The watermelon flavor wasn’t artificial, which made all the difference. A hint of mint and the sparkle of soda turned it into the ultimate summer sip. Perfect for those who like their drinks on the fresher, fruitier side.

Passion Fruit Mojito

If you like your drinks with a bit of a tangy punch, go for this one. It was vibrant, both in taste and presentation. The passion fruit flavor came through beautifully, and the added citrus and mint gave it a zesty lift. Ideal for when you want something a little different from the usual cola or lemonade.

Choco Hazel Shake

Rich, creamy, and everything a chocolate shake should be. The hazelnut added that slight nuttiness that elevated it from your average milkshake. It was thick enough to be a dessert on its own and definitely worth every calorie.

SYD Love Shake

This one was the most fun and visually appealing of the lot. A smooth, strawberry-flavored shake topped with a heart-shaped red velvet cake slice yes, you read that right. It looked straight out of a Pinterest board and tasted just as dreamy. It’s sweet, it’s indulgent, and it’ll win over any dessert lover.

Alfredo Sauce Pasta

Next up was the Alfredo pasta creamy, smooth, and served with a crisp slice of garlic bread. The penne was cooked al dente, and the sauce had that perfect buttery richness without feeling too heavy. What I really liked was the generous use of vegetables like broccoli and cherry tomatoes, adding freshness to every bite. It was comfort food done with finesse.

Ambience – More Than Just a Cafe

What I truly appreciated about Cafe Dwarka SYD was the way it makes you feel. There’s a sense of ease in the space. The rooftop seating lets you unwind under open skies, while the indoor section offers a more intimate, lounge-like vibe.

It’s versatile you can go there on a date, hang out with your friends, or bring your family along for a relaxed dinner. There’s soft music in the background, enough lighting for selfies (but not too bright to kill the mood), and a general sense of good energy that fills the place.

The staff was friendly and attentive, giving us space but also checking in at the right moments. Service was prompt, and everything arrived well-presented.

Good for Families, Great for Friends, Perfect for Everyone

One of the highlights of our visit was how balanced the cafe felt. It wasn’t just a hangout for Gen Z it had families, couples, and groups of friends all enjoying the space in harmony. It’s rare to find a cafe that appeals to such a wide crowd without losing its charm.

If you’re celebrating something or just looking for a place to sit back and enjoy a good meal with great company, this spot fits the bill.
